Day 1
Lord of Mercy, bless the poor in spirit; grant them a home in your kingdom. (Matthew 5:3)

Everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ. (Philippians 3:8)

Lord of Mercy, bless those who, when they finally have nothing in their name, find they have everything in your name.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen
Sunday
Day 2
Lord of Mercy, bless those who mourn; grant them comfort in your kingdom. (Matthew 5:4)

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. (Revelation 21:4)

Lord of Mercy, may every tear that falls to the ground summon you, O God of All Comfort.

Amen
Day 3
Lord of Mercy, bless the humble; grant them a place of honor in your kingdom. (Matthew 5:5)

For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. (Matthew 23:12)

Lord of Mercy, accept my sacrifice of a broken spirit; I know you will not refuse a humble heart. (Psalm 51:19)

Amen

Day 4
Lord of Mercy, bless those who hunger and thirst for righteousness; satisfy them with living water and the bread of life. (Matthew 5:6)

Who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross. (Philippians 2:6-8)

Lord of Mercy, bless those who empty their lives of all things “me”, and fill them up with all things “you”.

Day 5
Lord of Mercy, sustain the kind with kindness, the hopeful with hope, and the merciful with mercy. (Matthew 5:7)

Have mercy on me, a sinner. (Luke 18:13)

Lord of Mercy, bless the unkind with kindness, the hateful with hope, and the merciless with mercy.

Day 6
Lord of Mercy, bless the pure in heart; draw them up into your own heart. (Matthew 5:8)

Create in me a new, clean heart, O God, filled with clean thoughts and right desires. (Psalm 51:10)

Lord of Mercy, guard our steps from stumbles, our words from whimpers, and our hearts from the hurts of this world. (Proverbs 4:23-27)

Day 7
Lord of Mercy, bless the peacemakers; grant them a place in your family. (Matthew 5:9)

And through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace by the blood of his cross. (Colossians 1:20)

Lord of Mercy, raise up your Counselors of Peace, so that we might see your face in theirs. (Proverbs 12:20)

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

My persecutions and sufferings I endured; yet from them all the Lord rescued me. (2 Timothy 3:11)

Lord of Mercy, bless those who happily exchange peace for persecution, gain for pain, and security for eternity.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Day 9
Lord of Mercy, bless those who are pursued, pounced and persecuted for your sake; grant them the Joy of the Journey toward your kingdom. (Matthew 5:10)

There’s more to come. We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. (Romans 5:3-5)

Lord of Mercy, grant us the hope, in the midst of chaos, to cry out, “Rejoice!” (Philippians 4:4)

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
